Ferdinand has around 45 years of job experience, including 30 years related to hygienic design of equipment used in food and pharma.
He acquired knowledge about rubber materials and sealing technology at the University of Stuttgart and worked in design and development of sealing and bearing solutions made of rubber and plastic. He invented design solutions for semiconductor, automotive and pharma/food equipment. Later he worked as an application engineer and project manager. For five years, he held the position of European Segment Manager for Pharma/Food. After becoming self-employed, he developed and organized seminars about hygienic design, EHEDG training courses and courses about regulatory requirements for food contact materials. Ferdinand has also published articles about hygienic design of seals. Since 2011, he offers 3-A TPV inspection services.
