Geir Moe is a professional metallurgical engineer. He worked in a stainless steel distribution center for almost 20 years as an application metallurgist and quality assurance manager. Later, he spent five years as materials engineer with an international engineering company. He joined the Nickel Institute in 2014 as technical inquiry service coordinator. For more than 30 years, he has assisted end users in the successful application of stainless steels in high-temperature and corrosive applications. The Nickel Institute Technical Inquiry Service is a free service answering end users’ questions about nickel-containing materials, such as stainless steels.
